Hey Horror Fans—We're thrilled you're here! We're all about making horror fun, accessible, and exciting for fans like you. It all started in 2018 when we launched @theinstahorror on Instagram—a small fan page sharing rare horror collectibles, masks, and the occasional cosplay pic. By 2019, we were hosting live horror chats and streaming films, bringing fans together to geek out over the genre we love.
Then came 2020, and things got bigger. We backed indie gems like Time's Up!—that wild New Year's Eve slasher with a Father Time killer—helping promote its IndieGoGo campaign. During filming, one of our team members had a small role in the movie, where they met Dave Sheridan and Felissa Rose. From that moment on, Dave and Felissa became amazing friends of Home of Horror, strengthening our connection with the horror community.
In 2021, we teamed up with CreatorVC to help promote In Search of Darkness: Part II, and man, did we have a blast with that one. It's one of the most in-depth horror documentaries out there—digging into the '80s classics we grew up on—and we were stoked to spread the word. We got to chat with fans about our favorite kills, soundtracks, and VHS covers, making it a total nostalgia trip that cemented our love for the genre's history.
By 2022, we officially rebranded as Home of Horror, expanding our team and stepping into the industry spotlight. We started collaborating with major names like Netflix, Disney+, Universal, and Illusion Industries Inc. while diving into horror gaming alongside Supermassive Games (The Quarry), Saber Interactive (Evil Dead: The Game), and Gun Interactive (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre). That same year, we became Fangoria ambassadors, hooking fans up with 20% off merch and subscriptions—both the discount code and special link are available on our social media pages and website!
We weren't stopping there. In 2023, we proudly became sponsors of El Paso Horrorfest, helping promote the event and connecting with fans. That same year, we partnered with CreatorVC again to help promote In Search of Darkness: 1990-1994, keeping the nostalgia alive for the golden age of '90s horror.
In 2024, we helped promote some of Sean Haitz's incredible indie horror projects, including Cannibal Comedian—an insane mix of laughs and gore—building excitement for its 2025 SCREAMBOX release. That October, we were proud to support Sean Haitz's First Annual Happy Fright Film Festival —a wild celebration of independent horror with a twisted, comedic edge, bringing together genre fans, creators, and off-the-wall horror fun.
Then came February 2025, when we took our involvement with El Paso Horrorfest to the next level. As event sponsors, we helped the showrunner bring Dave Sheridan and Felissa Rose on board as guests, adding two horror icons to the lineup. Throughout the event, we also assisted them behind the scenes, ensuring they had a great experience while engaging with fans. On top of that, we ran the panels, leading discussions and creating an unforgettable weekend for horror lovers.
Now in 2025, we're still growing, still collaborating, and still fans first—always. What started as a simple Instagram page has grown into something bigger than we ever imagined. But no matter how much we expand, we'll never lose what makes us special—this is a fan-driven horror hub that grew big but never lost its heart.
