Hey horror fans, we are thrilled you are here.
Home of Horror is all about making horror fun, accessible, and exciting for fans like you. What started in 2018 as a small Instagram page called @theinstahorror quickly became something bigger. Back then, we were just sharing rare collectibles, masks, and the occasional cosplay photo. By 2019, we were hosting live chats and streaming horror films, bringing fans together to celebrate the genre we love.
In 2020, things really started to grow. We helped promote indie projects like Time's Up, a wild New Year's Eve slasher featuring a Father Time killer. One of our team members even appeared in the film, where they met Dave Sheridan and Felissa Rose. That connection turned into lasting friendships that helped solidify our place in the horror community.
By 2021, we teamed up with CreatorVC to help promote In Search of Darkness: Part II, one of the most detailed documentaries on 1980s horror. We connected with fans over favorite kills, soundtracks, and VHS nostalgia. It reminded us why we fell in love with horror in the first place.
In 2022, we officially rebranded as Home of Horror. We expanded our team and began collaborating with companies like Netflix, Disney Plus, Universal, Warner Bros, Amazon MGM Studios, Blumhouse, and Illusion Industries. We also entered the horror gaming world, teaming up with Supermassive Games for The Quarry, Saber Interactive for Evil Dead: The Game, and Gun Interactive for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. That same year, we became Fangoria ambassadors. Fans can still find our exclusive merch and subscription discount links on our social media and website.
In 2023, we proudly sponsored El Paso Horrorfest, helping promote the event and connect with fans in person. We also returned to CreatorVC to help promote In Search of Darkness: 1990 to 1994, keeping the love alive for the golden age of 1990s horror.
In 2024, we helped spotlight more indie horror, including Sean Haitz's Cannibal Comedian, a bold mix of gore and laughs that premiered on SCREAMBOX in 2025. That October, we supported the First Annual Happy Fright Film Festival, created by Haitz. It was a wild celebration of indie horror, twisted comedy, and fan creativity.
Then came February 2025. We returned to El Paso Horrorfest as full event sponsors. We helped bring Dave Sheridan and Felissa Rose back as special guests and worked behind the scenes to make sure they had a great experience. We also hosted the panels, led discussions, and made sure fans left with unforgettable memories.
Now in 2025, we are still growing, still collaborating, and still fans first. What began as a simple Instagram page has become a full horror hub that never lost its heart. This is a community built by fans, for fans.
Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Threads for daily updates, exclusives, and horror giveaways. Whether you are a lifelong horror fan or just getting into the genre, you are welcome here.
