Home of Horror is your ultimate source for horror news, reviews, trailers, and features across movies, gaming, and genre entertainment. Built by fans, for fans, we celebrate everything from cult classics and modern nightmares to the filmmakers, festivals, and stories keeping horror alive.
We are thrilled you are here and part of the community.
Our Story
Home of Horror began in 2018 as a small Instagram page called @theinstahorror, created to share horror collectibles, masks, and community posts. What started as a fun fan project quickly grew into something larger as followers began connecting through a shared passion for the genre.
Over the years, our work has expanded into partnerships with leading studios and creators, including Netflix, Disney Plus, Universal, Warner Bros, Amazon MGM Studios, Blumhouse, and Illusion Industries. We also stepped into the horror gaming world through collaborations with Supermassive Games on The Quarry, Saber Interactive on Evil Dead: The Game, and Gun Interactive on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.
We are also proud to serve as Fangoria Brand Ambassadors, representing one of the most legendary names in horror media. Since 1979, Fangoria has been an authority on the genre, and we are honored to help promote its continuing legacy through our platform and audience.
We proudly sponsor events such as El Paso Horrorfest and the Happy Fright Film Festival, both built around creativity and community. These collaborations reflect our ongoing mission to support filmmakers and fans alike.
Today, Home of Horror is an accredited press outlet for the Screamfest Horror Film Festival in Los Angeles and The Telluride Horror Show in Colorado. Our coverage, reviews, and features come straight from the heart of the horror scene.
What began as a fan page has evolved into a full-scale independent horror brand that never lost sight of what matters most: the community that started it all.
Our Mission
To make horror accessible, exciting, and inclusive for every kind of fan. We believe horror is more than a genre; it is a community. Our mission is to connect fans, filmmakers, and creators around the world through honest coverage, passionate storytelling, and a shared love of what scares us most.
Our Vision
To be the most trusted independent horror media brand that celebrates horror’s past, highlights its present, and supports its future through creativity and collaboration.
Our Values
Community: Horror is better when shared.
Authenticity: We only promote what we genuinely believe in.
Creativity: Innovation keeps horror alive, and it drives us too.
Integrity: We treat filmmakers, fans, and studios with respect.
Inclusion: Everyone has a place in horror, no matter where they start.
